In the beginning of A-Z Office Resource is a tale of two cities: one being that of
In 1968, A-Z Office Supply Company received its name from the then owner Chuck Taylor. Mr. Taylor used this name to be the first office supply company listed in the phone book. A-Z Office Supply Company quickly expanded throughout Northern Middle Tennessee during the 1970’s.
In 1985, M. G. “Butch” West, Jr. purchased The Office Resource in
Business was considered simple during this time. Sales Representatives went to customer, taking orders, and having them filled once back at the office. Fax machines were new! The Internet was non-existent! Calculators were just coming down in price!
During the late 1980’s, the office product industry changed dramatically when the first office supply superstore opened in the
Mr. West was convinced that locally owned and operated supply companies could survive and he then purchased A-Z Office Supply Company, thus forming A-Z Office Resource. He began with a staff of dedicated employees. A-Z Office Resource (AZOR) not only survived, but also prospered becoming one of the largest Independent Office Product Companies in the Southeast.
